THQ has announced a delayed release for Darksiders II. Developer Vigil has stated that the delay is purely to “add polish” to the game, and that they’ve always said that they will not ship the game until it is ready.
But moving the game from it’s projected June release date to the title-heavy August slot is troubling news for the struggling publisher. After already facing numerous closures and project cancellations, the importance of strong sales from core titles like Darksiders has already magnified in importance.
For fans of the game, it’s just good to hear that the game is still scheduled for release.
Whenever the game releases, it will be available for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC platforms.
